Under the authority of section 26(4) of the Financial Administration Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Department of Transportation and Works to pre-commit funds of $422,000 against its 2004-2005 budgetary appropriations to allow it to  immediately exercise the option clause under the existing contract to extend the Southeast Bight contract for one year until March 31, 2005.
