Orders in Council Database

Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to create the Department of Environment and Conservation, effective February 23, 2004, consisting ofall of those functions formerly within the Department of Environment and some of those functions formerly within the Department of Government Services and Lands and the Department of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, with 3 branches as follows:

i)  Environment;

ii)  Lands; and,

iii)  Natural Heritage
