Orders in Council Database

Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to create the Department of Natural Resources, effective February 23, 2004, comprising all of those functions formerly within the Department of Mines and Energy and the Department of Forest Resources and Agrifoods, with 5 branches as follows:

i)  Mineral Resource Management;

ii)  Energy Resources Management;

iii)  Industrial Benefits Management;

iv)  Forest Management; and,

v)  Agrifoods Development.
