Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to restructure and reconstitute the Department of Education, effective February 23, 2004, consisting of all of those functions formerly within the Department of Education and some of those functions formerly within the Department of Youth Services and Post-Secondary Education, with 3 branches as follows:

i)  Primary, Elementary and Secondary Education;

ii)  Corporate Services; and,

iii)  Advanced Studies
