Orders in Council Database

Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to create the Department of Government Services, effective February 23, 2004, consisting of some of those functions formerly within the Department of Government Services and Lands, the Department of Labour and the Department of Works, Services and Transportation, with 3 branches as follows:

i)  Government Services;

ii)  Consumer and Commercial Affairs; and,

iii)  Occupational Health and Safety
