Under the authority of section 61 of the Automobile Insurance Act and section 3.1(8) of the Insurance Companies Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Thomas Johnson as Consumer Advocate to represent consumers at the upcoming Benchmarking Hearings respecting automobile insurance rates and review, by the Board of Commissioners of Public Utilities, of automobile, homeowners, commercial and marine insurance in the province, on a nine month contractual basis, with a possible extension for up to three months, with other terms and conditions of the appointment and any extension being subject to the approval of the Premier and the Minister of Government Services.
