Under the authority of section 6 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint the Honourable Tom Rideout as Acting Minister of Health and Community Services, in addition to his responsibilities for the Department of Transportation and Works and as Minister Responsible for Aboriginal Affairs, effective immediately.
