Under the authority of section 26(4) of the Financial Administration Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Department of Finance to pre-commit funding of $1,750,000 against its 2005-2006 budgetary appropriations, for the purpose of enabling the Newfoundland and Labrador Industrial Development Corporation to purchase the preferred shares in Icewater Seafoods Inc. further to the Preference Share Subscription Agreement, essentially consistent with the draft agreement attached at Annex 4 to the Ministers’ submission.
