Under the authority of section 4 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to move that His Honour the Lieutenant Governor by Commission under the Great Seal of the Province, appoint Joan Burke to the Executive Council of the Province as the Minister of Human Resources, Labour and Employment, Minister Responsible for the Status of Women, Minister Responsible for the Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation and Minister Responsible for the Labour Relations Agency, with effect from February 23, 2004.
