Emergency 911 Act
Under the authority of section 6 of the Emergency 911 Act and section 8 of the Interpretation Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to set the location of public safety answering points and their respective boundaries as follows:
a) St. John’s, to cover the areas east of a line commencing at Southern Head, Placentia Bay, thence running in a north-easterly direction to, and including, Goobies Siding, thence running easterly along the eastern boundary of the Burin Peninsula Highway (Route 210) to the Trans-Canada Highway, thence running easterly to, and including, Seal Island, Trinity Bay, thence running south and around the coastline of the Avalon Peninsula back to the place of commencement; and
b) Corner Brook, to cover all other areas of the province; as depicted on the map on file with the Clerk of the Executive Council.
