Under the authority of subsections 10(2) and 15(3) of the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Atlantic Accord Implementation Newfoundland and Labrador Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Mr. Fred G. Way as a provincial member of the Canada-Newfoundland Offshore Petroleum Board for a term of six years, effective January 01, 2005; and pursuant to subsections 10(3) and (4) of the said Act to designate Mr. Way as full-time Vice-Chairperson of the Board for a term of six years effective January 1, 2005, subject to the concurrence of the federal government to his designation as full-time Vice-Chairperson, with salary and other terms and conditions to be fixed upon agreement with the federal government.
