Under the authority of section 11 of the Executive Council Act and section 7 of the Intergovernmental Affairs Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Minister of Natural Resources and the Premier as Minister Responsible for Intergovernmental Affairs, to sign a Memorandum of Understanding, substantially similar to that entitled “Memorandum of Understanding on Effective, Coordinated and Concurrent Environmental Assessment and Regulatory Processes for Offshore Petroleum Development Projects in the Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Area,” attached to Annex A of the Minister’s submission on file with the Clerk of the Executive Council.
