Under the authority of the Loan and Guarantee Act, 1957, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Minister of Finance on behalf of Government to issue a deficiency guarantee to a bank to cover that part of a $13.5 million credit facility of the Avalon Health Care Institutions Board or any successor health authority, which is in excess of $7 million, and such guarantee shall terminate on 31 March 2006, or such earlier date as may be appropriate after a plan for deficit reduction has been implemented.
