Under the authority of section 42.1 of the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act, and following the unanimous approval of a Resolution of the House of Assembly, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Mr. Philip J. Wall as the part-time Information and Privacy Commissioner, effective December 13, 2004, in accordance with the contract between Mr. Wall and the Speaker of the House of Assembly, and to grant Mr. Wall a waiver under subsection 19(3) of the Conflict of Interest Act, 1995, and in accordance with subsection 19(5) of that Act, the waiver permits the Information and Privacy Commissioner to deal with the Department of Finance as necessary for the purposes of carrying out the duties of his office.
