Under the authority of section 25(10) of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Minister of Justice to establish a cost recovery program associated with the cost of legal counsel provided to young persons by the Legal Aid Commission, with the department to bring forward to Cabinet a submission outlining the details of any cost recovery program before program implementation.
