Ordered that the administration, management and control of an area of  .941 acres of land encompassing the public wharf at Long Pond, Manuels,  in the District of Harbour Main, as described in the Schedule hereto,   be transferred to Her Majesty in right of Canada for use by the  Department of Public Works (Canada)

 

SCHEDULE

 

Beginning at the southeast corner of the public wharf; thence running by the waters of Long Pond north ten degrees fifteen minutes east three hundred and five feet; thence turning and running by a breastwork north three degrees west eighty-seven feet and thence north one degree east sixty-eight feet and thence north fourteen degrees west fifty-seven feet; thence turning and running north seventy-five degrees west twenty-four feet; thence south twenty-eight degrees west ten feet, thence along the easterly limit of a road (thirty feet wide) south twelve degrees east one hundred and twenty-six feet; thence south seven degrees west one hundred feet; thence south thirty-nine degrees west fifty-two feet; thence south ten degrees  fifteen minutes west two hundred and nineteen feet; thence south twenty degrees west twenty feet; thence turning and running south seventy-nine degrees forty-five minutes east fifty-eight feet more or less to the point of beginning; excepting nevertheless out of the above described area a piece of land containing 1200 square feet as shown coloured green on the diagram annexed hereto.  The said piece or parcel of land containing an area of 19,060 square feet. All bearings are Magnetic.

 

Ordered further that (a) there be saved and excepted from the said land  all minerals, quarry materials, coal, natural gas, oil and salt therein and thereunder, (b) if and as soon as the said area is no longer used   for the purpose of a public wharf, the administration, control thereof shall thereupon revert to Her Majesty in right of Newfoundland and (c) it be a condition of the conveyance of the said area that Newfoundland Minerals Limited shall have free and unencumbered right-of-way across  it at all times.
