Executive Council Act
Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to restructure the Office of the Executive Council, effective September 9, 2020, to reassign the functions formerly within the Intergovernmental and Indigenous Affairs Secretariat, the Office of the Chief Information Officer, and the Human Resource Secretariat, with nine offices as follows:
a) Cabinet Secretariat,
b) Communications and Public Engagement Branch,
c) Intergovernmental Affairs Secretariat,
d) Labrador Affairs Secretariat,
e) Office of the Chief Information Officer,
f) Office of Indigenous Affairs and Reconciliation,
g) Office of the Premier,
h) Office for the Status of Women, and.
i) Treasury Board Secretariat, to include a program accountability function in addition to all of those Treasury Board support, pensions administration, and accounts receivable functions and comptroller general functions formerly within the Department of Finance, with the exception of tax administration, and all of those functions formerly within the Human Resource Secretariat, with the exception of strategic staffing and opening doors, training, workplace harassment investigation, safety and wellness functions.
