Orders in Council Database

Approval was given for the issuance of an Order in Council, under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to restructure the Department of Finance, effective September 9, 2020, to consist of all of those functions formerly within the Department of Finance but excluding the Treasury Board support and comptroller general functions, with three branches as follows:

a) Economics and Statistics,

b) Tax and Fiscal Policy, and

c) Treasury Management and Budgeting.
