Orders in Council Database

Approval was given for the issuance of an Order in Council, under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to create the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation, effective September 9, 2020, to consist of all of those functions formerly within the Department of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation with the exception of the industry and innovation functions, and including all of those sport and recreation functions formerly within the Department of Children, Seniors and Social Development, with two branches as follows:

a) Tourism and Recreation, and,

b) Arts and Culture.
