Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Eldred Barnes as Deputy Minister in the Department of Education, on an acting basis, effective November 2, 2020, with salary at Step 23 on the 2328 Point Scale on the Executive Compensation Plan for the duration of the acting appointment, with normal step progressions and general salary increases applicable to Executive to apply, in accordance with the terms and conditions on file with the Clerk of the Executive Council.
