Under the authority of the Canada - Newfoundland and Labrador Atlantic Accord Implementation Newfoundland and Labrador Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to:

a) agree that crude oil self-sufficiency and security of supply will exist in Canada for the period January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2025; and

b) authorize the Minister of Industry, Energy and Technology to notify the Minister of Natural Resources Canada and the Canada - Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board of the above determination.
