Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Andrea McKenna as Assistant Deputy Minister (COVID-19 Response Coordination) in the Department of Health and Community Services, effective December 9, 2020, on an acting basis, retaining responsibility for NLMA negotiations in addition to her duties, at her current salary and point scale on the Executive Compensation Plan, with normal step progressions and general salary increases applicable to Executive to apply, and with a position description to be forwarded to the Treasury Board Secretariat for classification within one year of the date of her appointment, the outcome of which is to place her, retroactive to August 15, 2019, at the salary step that is closest to, without being less than, the salary at which she was appointed on that date.
