Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to restructure the Office of the Executive Council, effective April 8, 2021, to create the Office of Women and Gender Equality and reassign the functions formerly within the Office for the Status of Women, with nine offices as follows: |

Cabinet Secretariat, |
|
b) |
Communications and Public Engagement Branch, |
|
c) |
Intergovernmental Affairs Secretariat, |
|
d) |
Labrador Affairs Secretariat, |
|
e) |
Office of the Chief Information Officer, |
|
f) |
Office of Indigenous Affairs and Reconciliation, |
|
g) |
Office of the Premier, |
|
h) |
Office of Women and Gender Equality, to include all those functions formerly within the Office for the Status of Women, and, |
|
i) |
Treasury Board Secretariat, confirmed to have a human resource function, inclusive of collective bargaining, advisory services, and benefits administration; Comptroller General functions, inclusive of government accounting, systems, internal audit, and payroll administration; Treasury Board operations functions, inclusive of support to Treasury Board, policy, information management, and classifications; and, program accountability and corporate services functions, inclusive of program evaluation, accountability, corporate services, and capacity development. |
