Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to create the Department of Immigration, Population Growth and Skills, effective April 8, 2021, to consist of all those functions formerly within the Department of Immigration, Skills and Labour except the income support, labour relations, and labour standards functions, with two branches as follows:

a) Immigration, Population Growth and Workforce Development, and

b) Employment, Skills and Regional Services.
