Under the authority of section 4 of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Act, 1992,

the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Patrick Roche as the Chief

of Police for the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, on an interim basis, effective

August 1, 2021, with salary at Step 24 on the 2136 Point Scale of the Executive

Compensation Plan, with normal step progressions and general salary increases

applicable to Executive to apply, and with a salary differential to apply of 1% above

the highest paid subordinate until such time as, through normal step progressions,

general salary increases, or otherwise, Mr. Roche's salary is greater than the salary of

the highest paid subordinate.
