Public Utilities Act and Independent Appointments Commission Act
Under the authority of section 117 of the Public Utilities Act and in accordance with paragraph 9(2)(a) of the Independent Appointments Commission Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to reappoint Dennis Browne, QC, as Consumer Advocate, for a one-year term, effective October 4, 2021, to represent the interests of domestic and general service electricity consumers, on the terms and conditions on file with the Clerk of the Executive Council, for the purpose of participation in: a) any existing or future applications or hearings before the Board of Commissioners of Public Utilities; and b) any other general matters in which the Board of Commissioners of Public Utilities may engage the Consumer Advocate arising outside the application or hearing process.
