Under the authority of section 8 of the Interpretation Act and section 42.1 of the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Wayne Mitchell as the Information and Privacy Commissioner, effective from September 8, 2003, in accordance with the contract on file with the Clerk of the Executive Council, for the purposes of establishing the office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner.
