Executive Council Act and Intergovernmental Affairs Act
Under the authority of section 7 of the Intergovernmental Affairs Act and sections 10 and 11
of the Executive Council Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the
Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation and the Premier, as Premier and Minister for
Intergovernmental Affairs, to enter into the “Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador General
Agreement to Advance the Canadian Sport Policy”, substantially along the lines of the copy
on file with the Clerk of the Executive Council, subject to the Department of Tourism,
Culture and Recreation incorporating any comments from the Department of Justice and the
Intergovernmental Affairs Secretariat.
