Orders in Council Database

Under the authority of section 16 of the Public Inquiries Act, 2006, the Lieutenant-

Governor in Council is pleased to make the Order entitled “Inquiry Respecting the

Treatment, Experiences and Outcomes of Innu in the Child Protection System Order”,

a copy of which is on file with the Clerk of the Executive Council, to:

a) appoint the following members to the Inquiry Panel:

i) James Igloliorte, as Chair;

ii) Anastasia Qupee; and

iii) Dr. Michael Devine;

b) set the terms of reference for the Inquiry;

c) set October 31, 2023 as the date for the termination of the Inquiry and for the

delivery of the Inquiry Panel’s final report; and

d) designate the Minister of Justice and Public Safety as the minister responsible for

the Inquiry.
