Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act and the

Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to confirm

the Department of Jobs, Growth and Rural Development, effective March 26, 2026,

to consist of all those functions formerly within the Department of Jobs, Growth and

Rural Development, and to include all those functions related to the facilitation of

interdepartmental activities supporting rural economic and social development

formerly within the Office of the Executive Council, with five branches as follows:

a) Immigration,

b) Employment and Labour Market Development,

c) Corporate Services,.

d) Business and Innovation, and

e) Industry and Economic Development.
