Orders in Council Database

Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act and the

Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to create the

Department of Labrador Affairs, effective April 1, 2023, to consist of all of those

functions formerly within the Labrador Affairs Secretariat, in the Office of the

Executive Council, and all of those functions formerly within the Medical

Transportation Assistance Programs Branch, in the Department of Health and

Community Services, with two branches as follows:

a) Labrador Affairs; and

b) Medical Transportation Assistance Programs.
