Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act and the

Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to restructure

the Department of Justice and Public Safety, effective April 1, 2023, to exclude of

all of those functions formerly assigned to the Access to Information and Protection

of Privacy Office, with five branches as follows:

a) Courts and Corporate Services;

b) Emergency Services;

c) Legal Services, to exclude all of those functions formerly assigned the Access to

Information and Protection of Privacy Office;

d) Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions; and

e) Public Safety and Correctional Services.
