Under the authority of section 57 of the Elections Act, 1991 and section 54 of the

House of Assembly Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to move that

a Proclamation be issued for the signature of Her Honour the Lieutenant-Governor

providing for the holding of a by-election in the Electoral District of Fogo Island -

Cape Freels and the Proclamation shall provide that:

a) The last day for the nomination of candidates for the by-election is Monday, the

25^th day of March, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.;

b) The place for the nomination of candidates for the said by-election in the

Electoral District of Fogo Island - Cape Freels is Aspen Cove Fire Hall, 34 Aspen

Main, Aspen Cove, NL, AOG 1 AO;

c) The day of polling in the Electoral District of Fogo Island - Cape Freels is

Monday, the 15^th day of April, 2024;

d) The Writ of Election for the said by-election be issued; and

e) The Writ of Election shall be issued on Sunday, the 17^th day of March, 2024 and

be returnable at the time and in the manner prescribed by Division E of the

Elections Act, 1991, together with the return of the person to whom the writ is

directed endorsed thereon, and all other documents and other things required to

be transmitted to the Chief Electoral Officer by virtue thereof.
