Hydro Corporations Act and Corporations Act
Under the authority of subsection 4(1), section 11.1 and subsection 39(3) of the
Hydro Corporation Act, 2007 and subsections 245(1), (2) and (8) of the Corporations
Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to direct to the Board of Directors
of the Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro-electric Corporation to:
1) proceed with aligning wage adjustments for Churchill Falls teaching staff with
those negotiated by the Newfoundland and Labrador Teachers’ Association,
retroactive to 2020 and concluding in 2026, as follows:
a) two per cent increases for fiscal years 2020-2021, 2021-2022, 2022-2023,
2023-2024, 2024-2025, and 2025-2026;
b) enhancements to the salary grid as outlined in the Newfoundland and
Labrador Teachers’ Association Collective Agreement;
c) $2,000 recognition bonus, prorated based on the 2022-23 school year; and
d) allowances as noted in Article 50 of the Newfoundland and Labrador
Teachers’ Association Collective Agreement; and
2) maintain the Churchill Falls Teachers Differential, substantially along the lines
as on file with the Clerk of the Executive Council.
