Executive Council Act
Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act and the
Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to create the
Department of Seniors, effective May 9,2025, to include all of those functions related
to seniors and aging formerly within the Department of Children, Seniors and Social
Development, with one branch as follows:
a) Seniors.
