Orders in Council Database

Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act and the

Prerogative of the Crown, to create the Department of Education and Early Childhood

Development, effective May 9,2025, to include all of those functions formerly within

the Department of Education, with six branches as follows:

a) Corporate Services,

b) Early Learning, Inclusion and Child Development,

c) Education Transformation,

d) K-12 Education,

e) Post-Secondary Education, and

f) Education Operations.
