Orders in Council Database

Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act and the

Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to

restructure the Department of Seniors, effective September 4, 2025, to include all

those functions formerly within the Department of Seniors, and to include all those

functions related to seniors’ health care formerly within the Department of Health

and Community Services, with one branch as follows:

a) Seniors.
