Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act and the

Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to create the

Department of Environment, Conservation and Climate Change, effective October 29,

2025, to consist of all those functions formerly within the Department of Environment

and Climate Change, with two branches as follows:

a) Environment, and

b) Conservation and Climate Change.
