Executive Council
Executive Council Act
Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act and the
Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to create
the Department of Municipal and Community Affairs, effective October 29, 2025, to
consist of all those functions formerly within the Department of Municipal Affairs
and Community Engagement, with two branches as follows:
a) Municipal and Community Support, and
b) Community Engagement.
