Orders in Council Database

Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act and the

Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to

restructure the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, effective

October 29, 2025, to consist of all those functions formerly within the Department of

Education and Early Childhood Development and all of those functions related to

apprenticeship and trades formerly within the Department of Jobs, Immigration and

Growth, with six branches as follows:

a) Corporate Services,

b) Early Learning, Inclusion and Child Development,

c) Education Operations,

d) K-12 Education,

e) Post-Secondary Education, and

f) Apprenticeship and Trades.
