Orders in Council Database

Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act and the

Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to create the

Department of Social Supports and Well-Being, effective October 29, 2025, to consist

of all those functions formerly within the Department of Families and Affordability,

with five branches as follows:

a) Child and Youth Services,

b) Corporate Services and Performance Improvement,

c) Policy and Programs,

d) Prevention and Early Intervention, and

e) Healthy Communities.
