Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of

the Crown, to appoint Gerrie Smith as Deputy Minister of the Department of Justice

and Public Safety and Deputy Attorney General, effective November 4^th, 2025, with

salary at Step 25 of the 2556 Point Scale on the Executive Compensation Plan, with

normal step progressions and general salary increases applicable to Executive to

apply, and with benefits to include payment of annual practice fees in the Law Society

of Newfoundland and Labrador.
