Under the authority of subsection 34(4) and sections 35 and 36 of the Canada-

Newfoundland and Labrador Atlantic Accord Implementation and Offshore

Renewable Energy Management Newfoundland and Labrador Act, the Lieutenant-

Governor in Council is pleased to:

a) make a determination that self-sufficiency and security of supply of suitable

crude oil and equivalent substances will exist in Canada for the period from

January 1,2026, to December 31, 2030; and

b) authorize the Minister of Energy and Mines to notify the Minister of Energy and

Natural Resources and the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Energy

Regulator of the above determination.
