Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act and the

Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor is pleased to restructure the

Department of Energy and Mines, effective January 20,2026, to consist of all those

functions formerly within the Department of Energy and Mines, with four branches

as follows:

a) Energy Development and Partnerships,

b) Mines and Mineral Development,

c) Petroleum Development and Benefits, and

d) Regulatory Affairs and Project Oversight.
