Orders in Council Database

Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act and the

Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to

restructure the Department of Energy and Mines, effective August 3,2026, to consist

of all those functions formerly within the Department of Energy and Mines, with five

branches as follows:

a) Corporate Services,

b) Energy Development and Partnerships,

c) Mines and Mineral Development,

d) Petroleum Development and Benefits, and

e) Regulatory Affairs and Project Oversight.
