Executive Council Act
Under the authority of section 4 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of
the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to move that Her Honour
the Lieutenant Governor, by Commission under the Great Seal of the Province,
appoint Barry Petten as Minister of Municipal and Community Affairs, Minister of
Community Engagement, Registrar General, and Deputy Government House Leader,
in addition to his duties as Deputy Premier, Minister of Transportation and
Infrastructure, and Minister of Public Procurement, with effect from August 20, 2026.
