Under the authority of subsection 26(4) of the Financial Administration Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Department of Transportation and Works to pre-commit funding in the amount of $7,802,700 against its 2016-17 budget appropriations and the amount of $1,500,000 against its 2017-18 budget appropriations, to facilitate the award of a contract to Johnson’s Construction Limited for the replacement of the Sir Robert Bond Bridge on the Trans Canada Highway near Bishops Falls.
