Under the authority of section 6 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint the Honourable Kevin O’Brien as the acting Minister of Advanced Education and Skills and Minister Responsible for the Status of Persons with Disabilities, except with repsect to matters of policy related to Income Support and with respect to changes to the organizational structure of the Department of Advanced Education and Skills, in addition to his current responsibilities as Minister of Municipal Affairs, Minister Responsible for Fire and Emergency Services – Newfoundland and Labrador, and Registrar General, effective June 5, 2013, for a period of two months.
