Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant Governor in Counsel is pleased to appoint Mr. John Cowan as Executive Director (Planning and Coordination) in Cabinet Secretariat in the Office of the Executive Council, on an acting basis, effective August 26, 2015, with salary at an appropriate step on the 1262 Point Scale of the Executive Compensation Plan Policies and Procedures, with normal step progressions and general salary increases applicable to Executive to apply, and with a position description to be forwarded by Mr. Cowan to the Human Resource Secretariat for classification within one year of the date of his appointment, the outcome of which is to place him, retroactive to August 26, 2015, at the salary step that is closest to, without being less than, the salary to which he has been appointed herein.
