Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Ms. Heather Jacobs Q.C. as Deputy Minister of the Department of Justice and Public Safety and Deputy Attorney General, on an acting basis, effective September 23, 2015, with salary at an appropriate step on the 2556 Point Scale of the Executive Compensation Plan, with normal step progressions and general salary increases applicable to Executive to apply; and with benefits to include the payment of annual practice fees in the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
